For 2026, we are looking for some extra people to join our amazing volunteer team! We have a number of positions available, however please consider your own fit for the role. We will provide plenty of support and encouragement for you to succeed, however it does require your own set of skills and initiative. We've added expectations for how many hours per week/month we expect each role to take, please take this into consideration. We will contact you via regarding your submission. 2026 Committee Roles & Responsibilities
These are guidelines we encourage members to adapt roles to meet individual preferences so long as it is beneficial to the LaTrobe Ice Sports Club.
Social Media (Time commitment: avg. >1 hour per week)

Griffins Team Stories: Pre-game story on game day, and post-game story with scores and game MVP published the morning after a game. (will need to communicate with team managers)

Other Events: (including Come & Try events, Uni League events, social skates, etc)
Marketing at least twice via stories before an event, posting photos after the event within 3 days

Actively take photos at all events (or organise a cover if unavailable)
Merchandise Coordinator (Time commitment: avg. >1 hour per week)

Responsible for delivery of goods

Collection of jerseys from the rink

Ticking off orders before delivery/collection

NOTE: Team Managers still remain responsible for jersey distribution

Managing the website sales
General Volunteer Team (Time commitment: avg. 2-3 hours per event)
- Event Assistance
- Assisting with people putting gear on
- Chat with attendees, social engagement, check-in
- Photos at the event
- Helping on the benches
- Teaching people skating skills
